<p>So the last few days at work, I&#8217;ve been getting really dizzy and lightheaded in the morning before my first 10. Usually, my day works so two or so hours into my shift, I get a 10 minute break and that&#8217;s when I sit down and have something to eat for breakfast. I just don&#8217;t wake up in enough time to sit down and make something. Problem is, my workouts and my days in general have just gotten harder and longer and my usual problem of just not eating enough is starting to rear it&#8217;s ugly head. I&#8217;m going to invest in some items I can get on the go for breakfast that aren&#8217;t overprocessed garbage and aren&#8217;t too hard to eat. I&#8217;m thinking of some good granola bars and maybe some bananas. I can easily eat those in the car with my danactive on the way to work. We shall see if that fixes anything.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I was honestly pretty happy with my choices today. I was also pretty pleased with dinner. For 1. I had a really tough workout after working 8.5 hours so as I was driving home, I kept thinking I should stop somewhere and get something to eat. My overall cheapness won out and I decided, at first, to just have some cereal. When I got home, the cooking Gods smiled upon me and I came up with a really delightful dinner. I actually wrote down the recipe I made up and put it in my yet to be titled, yet to be published <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  cookbook.</p>

<p>Danactive on the way to work. I pretty much have one of these everyday I work because I just don&#8217;t wake up in time to eat breakfast at home, even though my best intentions. 4:30am comes really fast somedays.</p>

<p>Breakfast was a strawberry banana protein shake and Greek yogurt. I am much more aware of how much dairy I&#8217;m having and I&#8217;m trying to cut back here and there but it is just so delish and so filling.</p>

<p>I then had family over later in the evening for dessert which included a lamb cake and a strawberry tiramisu.  Didn&#8217;t really have dinner. I picked on some egg salad while watching The Sound of Music and then had some Easter candy. Oh well, holiday food has no calories anyway <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>I remembered to take a picture halfway through my first plate at Gino&#8217;s which consisted of a salad, couple pieces of shrimp, and some of their world famous peppers. yummy <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Second plate consisted of some chicken marsala, pasta, mashed potatoes, and cheese. Pretty balanced food groups there <img src='http://s2.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I also had a piece of brownie and some tiramisu for dessert.</p>

<p>Chocolate banana protein shake with a shot of espresso and a blueberry muffin. Kinda disappointed myself with the muffin, I usually am able to resist the siren song that is the pastries at work.  For some reason though, it just looked delightful today.</p>

<p>Dinner was lamb with dirty rice, collard green, and sweet potatoes and it was off the chain. I ate about a 1/4 of it and took the rest home. Andy finished it off the next day but it was amazing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So this for sure took longer to post than I thought! Here is everything from April 1st, 2010.</p>
<p>Here are my (Erin&#8217;s) choices for the day. Day 1 was kinda weird because I wasn&#8217;t sure how exactly I wanted to do this. I went out to eat with my Mom at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and took a picture of my breakfast. I then realized there was no way I was going to eat everything so I ended up doing a before and after shot:</p>

<p>I ended up only eating the eggs, 1 piece of bacon and two slices of french toast.</p>

<p>I stopped at starbucks for some tea and got a banana.</p>

<p>I wasn&#8217;t really going to count the beverages but I thought a milk chug of chocolate milk was pretty substantial.</p>

<p>Dinner was three pieces of sashimi, some hummus, radishes, and rice.</p>
<p>So what did I learn from day 1? I really don&#8217;t think a lot of the time I&#8217;m eating enough. There was no lunch today whatsoever. I&#8217;m not really counting the banana. I want to get to the point where I am eating smaller meals more frequently.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you have stumbled upon this, you must either really be bored or you  have the worst job ever and need to break up the mundane that is your  life.  Welcome to the Erin and Kristin Food Blog.</p>
<p>Let me explain just a little  bit about what&#8217;s going on here as far as what to expect and what not to  expect. This is a month long experiment. For everything we eat within  this month, no matter how crappy and bad for us the item is or how much  we may or may not overeat, we will take and post a picture of it.</p>
<p>Now at first glance, this may look like some high tech food journal. To  that I say, it is and it isn&#8217;t. The purpose of this is not to lose  weight. You will see no calorie counting, no days where we just drink  water and eat air popped popcorn; we are not crazy. This blog is about  accountability and making better food choices. By taking pictures and  thus posting for the world to see, we are owning what we eat. If weight  loss comes from this, that&#8217;s awesome but it is not the goal here.</p>
<p>This is also not a formula to be followed. Some days we may make some  awesome food choices, other days you may see that a row of brownies  somehow snuck in there. The idea is to find our weakness and strengths  and to build on that.  No apologies will be made for days that go wrong.</p>
<p>We are also not  seeking perfection in our eating. The success in this hinders on being able to control as much as we can while still enjoying some foods in moderation.  Life is much to short to eat completely clean all the time <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Posts will usually be a day behind as I don&#8217;t want to gamble with the fact that a late night craving may happen once or twice.</p>
<p>We also encourage anyone who wants to take this journey with us to do so. If you are interested, drop me a line and I will be happy to post your pictures also.</p>
